Scope of Works
Our client required a renewable heating and hot water solution for a New Build project. A Property Energy Summary Report was undertaken (from an initial site visit). Our installations team then worked alongside architects, builders and key suppliers to ensure the smooth running of this project.
Work Carried Out
Our engineers installed two Air Source heat pumps in parallel to cover peak heating demand at outdoor ambient temperature of -3 deg C whilst maintaining an indoor temperature of 21 deg C.
This was all fed into a 200ltr buffer with both heat pumps running a separate 300ltr cylinder each to run again, in parallel, a total of 600ltrs of domestic hot water. The heating also supplies six underfloor manifolds which consisted of running 1 km of under floor heating per floor across three storeys of the property.
Installation
- Installed heat pumps 8kw and 16kw.
- 2 x 300 litre unvented cylinder and 200 litre buffer.
- Pipework to manifold from plant room to 6 underfloor manifolds.
- Laid over 3km of underfloor heating pipe to basement, ground and first floors and wired up underfloor control box, pumps, immersion and sensors.
- Commissioned to run at 35 degree to minus 3 deg C on design temperature weather compensation with 8kw unit backing up at 3 deg C outdoor temperature or below.
Equipment Installed
Samsung 16kw and 8kw Air Source Heat pumps, 2 x unvented 300 litre cylinder, buffer and underfloor heating and controls.
