Our fabric first approach

At Xpert Energy, we adopt a “fabric first” approach to all our installations, to ensure the highest levels of energy efficiency and lower carbon emissions.

We first ensure the fabric of the building – the walls, floors, roof, windows – is as energy efficient as possible by assessing thermal performance. That means taking steps to ensure the building is as insulated, airtight and draught-free as possible. There is no point in installing new energy-efficient systems to keep your home at a consistent and comfortable temperature if the building itself leaks heat like a sieve!

This approach to the building’s ‘envelope’ and its thermal performance (U-value) ensures any work done, such as additional insulation, will provide sustained energy savings across the building’s entire lifespan.
