Servicing and Maintenance for your Heating and Hot Water Systems

Xpert Energy service and maintain all makes and models of heat pumps including Exhaust and Air Source Heat Pumps, Ground Source and Water Source Heat Pumps. We are F-Gas registered and cover all refrigeration work.

During our visit or service under our annual service plan, we will:

• Visually inspect condition of unit casing, secure and replace covers to reduce noise.
• Check and adjust settings within display for optimal performance.
• Check and test all components on unit.
• Replace filters with new.
• Test, adjust and balance airflows for optimal performance.
• Check refrigeration circuit and temperatures if available on controller to ensure unit operating correctly and efficiently.
• Check sensors reading correctly.
• Bleed and refill all systems to correct operating pressure.
• Lock off all ducts to prevent adjustment once balanced.
• Carry out heating and hot water charge.
• Set up pump speeds to maintain correct delta T (temperature difference).
• Check all connections for leaks and repair, if able.
• Check correct fall on drains and catch pot.
• Check all pipe work complies with G3 regulations.
• Teach you how the unit works, about cleaning the filter and how to correctly use control if possible.

For each unit, you will receive a service report with a schedule of repairs carried out at time of visit and/or any recommendations to be carried out.

Your MVHR works most efficiently when air freely flows through the ducts and your filters are clean.

During our visit/service the following will be carried out, depending on your type of ventilation system:

• Condensate present and installed correctly
• Check type of ducting installed
• Check for a boost facility
• Boost switch location
• Humidistat control for boost and setting
• Over run timer setting
• Replace supply and extract filters
• Checking installation is correct
• Ensuring airflows are within building regulations/specifications

For each unit you will receive a service report with a schedule of repairs at time of visit and/or any recommendations to be carried out.

Our engineers are fully trained in the service and repair of solar thermal of all makes and models. Our annual solar thermal service includes:

• Checking the system pipework, insulation and expansion vessel
• Check the PRV operation and performance
• Sample the antifreeze concentration and level of protection

Please note we do NOT install solar thermal systems: we only offer servicing and maintenance for pre-existing systems.

Warm water underfloor heating systems have multiple elements which need maintenance to ensure they run efficiently. Our wet underfloor heating servicing includes checks on the pump, pipework, manifolds, vents, valves, actuators, sensors and gauges.
